The jewel of Romania, Bucharest is always up to the expectations. It has many nooks and crannies to check out and it won’t set you back too much while you are exploring. Bucharest can be described as elegance layered with history. The city sometimes gets a bad rap but in fact it is dynamic, energetic and lots of fun. When you go there, give yourself atleast a couple days to take in the good museums, parks, trendy cafes and drinking gardens. Communism changed the face of the city forever, and nowhere is this more evident than at the gargantuan Palace of Parliament, the grandest (and arguably crassest) tribute to dictatorial megalomania you’ll ever see.
