In the small town of Mingun in Burma, there lies MingunPahtodawgyi. It was meant to be the largest pagoda in the world. The gigantic project began in 1790 but was never completed. King Bodawpaya acquired thousands of prisoners and slaves during his war campaigns, and he used them for the construction of this large project. This unfinished pagoda is 50 meters high which about one third of proposed height is. The cracks seen on this structure are the result of earthquake. It is one of the largest piles of stone and brickwork in the world.
