The project was ended four years after the death of al – Mansur. A huge mosque was also the part of the project. The mosque was planned to be the centerpiece of new capital and a celebration of Sultan’s victory over enemies. This tower is currently 44 meters high with 200 columns scattered along the marble floor. This tower was granted the World Heritage Status by UNESCO in 2012.
