09. Desecheo Island (Puerto Rico)
Desecheo is a small uninhabited island on the west coast of Puerto Rico. The island is a wildlife refuge. It was used by US military in the past as bombing practice site. It is somewhat isolated so the reefs around the island remain in excellent shape, life and color. Once you are there You may get more than you bargained for if you visit this destination, as travelers regularly report seeing humpback whales on their way out and back.
