10. Cellphones Interfere with Aircraft Navigation
This myth is true for phones which are a bit old. Often you here an announcement by the flight crew to turn off your phones before takeoff or to put them on flight mode. But this myth is false on today’s cellphones because today the cellphones operates on entirely different frequencies then aircrafts. So, the radio waves they emit cannot under any circumstances impact the navigational equipment of the plane. But still it is better to listen the cabin crew and follow their instructions.
