08. ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus, India
This railway station is also a declared World Heritage Site. It is located in Mumbai, India and it is Mumbai’s prestige. It was built in honor of Queen Victoria and initially called as ‘Victoria Terminus in honor of Queen Victoria”. It took a decade to complete its construction in 1888. This station is a combination of both the eastern and western architecture. One can see the fusion of Indian palace architecture and Victorian Italianate Gothic revival. It has been expanded over the years to cater the increasing population. The historic station is used by 3 million commuters daily as it connects Mumbai to suburbs as well as rest of the India.
