06. Southern Cross Station, Australia
The Southern Cross Station is located in Melbourne and is a major transportation hub. It was revamped and renovated in 2002 by a consortium featuring a unique undulating roof design by Grimshaw Architects. It took 4 years to completely revamp this station into a major transportation hub. The whole station is a symbol of creativity and modernism as it can be seen in the overwhelming structure of the station. Its undulating roof covers an area of 60,000 square meters having the highest point of 23 meters. It serves around 15 million passengers per annum.
