05. Kanazawa Station, Japan
Continuously rated amongst the most beautiful stations of the world, it is located in the Ishikawa province of Japan. The most famous attraction of this station is its 14 meters long entrance known as Tsuzumi Gate. It is named as Tsuzumi because of the side legs of the gate that resembles it. The gate also features a huge dome covering the eastern and western part of the station. During its renovation in 2005, The Kanazawa station raised some eyebrows due to its modern architecture that doesn’t suit to the historic town, which was miraculously unharmed during the World War II and has still preserved the former Samurai quarters and Geisha district.
